As a developer, our philosophy is simple: **Your Notes are Your Business.** We are committed to building an application that respects your privacy from the ground up, minimizing the collection of personal data.

1. Data Collected: A Focus on Minimalism

Loft Notes is designed to give you complete control and ownership over your content. We distinguish clearly between the private content you create and the minimal, non-personal data necessary for app functionality.

1.1. User-Generated Content (Personal Data)

This is the content you create and input into the App. **This data is yours, private, and never seen by the developer.** It includes:

• Note Content: All text, typed content, and structured data that form your notes.
• Drawing Data: Vector strokes and metadata related to your handwriting, sketches, and drawings.
• Media: Images, photos, or other media files that you choose to embed into your notes.

Perspective: This content is collected *by the user* and is essential for the App's core purpose. Because of our architecture (see Section 3), this data is not stored on our servers.

1.2. Non-Personal Data

To maintain a stable and reliable application, we rely on basic, aggregated services provided by Apple:

• Application Analytics & Crash Logs: We may utilize non-identifiable, aggregated data provided by Apple's services (e.g., App Store Connect Analytics). This data is purely statistical and relates to app usage and performance (e.g., crash frequency, general usage patterns). **It is not tied back to your identity or your personal content.**

2. How Data is Used: Core Functionality Only

The information we handle is used for the following, and **only** the following, purposes:

• Core App Functionality: Your User-Generated Content is used exclusively within the App to allow you to create, view, and edit your notes.
• Synchronization: To ensure your notes are consistent across your Apple devices, your data is used for synchronization services (iCloud/CloudKit), managed entirely by Apple and controlled by your private account.

Crucial Commitment: **Loft Notes does not use your data for advertising, market analysis, building user profiles, or any purpose unrelated to the App’s function.** We have no interest in your data beyond helping you manage it securely.

3. Data Storage & Security: The iCloud Model

A central tenet of Loft Notes’ security model is the exclusion of developer-owned servers for user data storage.

• **Private iCloud Storage:** All of your notes, drawings, and embedded media (User-Generated Content) are stored securely in your **private iCloud account** using Apple's Core Data and CloudKit frameworks.
• **Developer Access:** **We, the developer, do not have access to your personal notes or content.** The data resides solely within the secure, encrypted boundaries of your Apple account.
• **Security:** By relying on Apple's infrastructure, your data benefits from the security standards and encryption methods inherent in iCloud.

4. Data Sharing: We Don't Share

We are an MVP application and committed to keeping this policy simple and direct:

Loft Notes does not share, sell, rent, or trade your User-Generated Content or any other personal data with any third parties. The non-personal, aggregated analytics data is managed entirely through Apple and is not shared externally.
